Romal Almazo ("Lomax")
Biography

Romal Almazo ('Dustbin') has painted for 25+ years and has mostly trained privately, both in London, UK and Sydney, Australia. Spending many of his formative years under the guidance of retired art and literary professors, in particular Nick Malone (MA, BA Fine Arts, Lon) in London.

Working from a studio in East London, Lomax tends to focus on free, abstract experessionism. And works with subject matter including: flowers, peacocks, and stilettos. This allows him to fully celebrate colour and contrast, whilst enjoying the freedom and sanctity abstract allows. His influences include: Michael Strang, Salvador Dali, Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock and Gerard Richter, though he prefers not to be labelled under any particular guise.
