History
Historical 'Donkey Ear' Binoculars used in World War I and World War II. They were mainly used in trench warfare.
The 'Donkey Ear' Binoculars are the cheekiest of our binoculars. They have loads of character and history as you can see from the photos and they take on a persona all of their own.
Aesthetics
All of our Binoculars are uniquely restored to a standard unsurpassed. There is no tacky chroming, silver spray-painting or added metallurgy. All parts are original except for the tripod stand which is specially sourced to result in the timeless masterpieces you see today.
Originally painted military green, the major cost component of these Binoculars is in the intricate and sophisticated re-work. They are disassembled, stripped, chemically treated, sandblasted, polished and assembled.
Function
Due to the fact that these were designed and developed before the advent of RADAR, the emphasis placed on lens quality was exceptional.
